The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today that its annual report highlighting a wide range of information on Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in California, from arrests, convictions, court sanctions, and fatalities in alcohol and drug related crashes is now available online.

DMV Targets Unlicensed Car Dealers Posing as Private Sellers (May 12, 2012)

California Department of Motor Vehicles investigators fanned out across the state today, citing unlicensed car dealers who prey on disadvantaged buyers by disguising themselves as private sellers with the intent of flipping unsafe, used vehicles. Undercover officers issued 139 citations during the daylong operation.

21 Defendents Charged for Corruption at Two Southern California DMV Offices (May 2, 2012)

United States Attorney Laura E. Duffy announced today that employees at the California Department of Motor Vehicles ("DMV") in San Diego County were charged in a criminal complaint for their involvement in a long-running bribery conspiracy that resulted in the production of hundreds of fraudulent driver licenses for applicants who had failed – or not taken – the required driver license tests.
