If your driver’s license (DL) has been lost, stolen, damaged or mutilated, a replacement DL can be requested using this system.
Before you begin, be prepared to:
-
Log in to your MyDMV account, or create one if you haven’t already.
-
If you recently submitted a Change of Address request, allow 14 days for processing before requesting a replacement DL. Your current address can be viewed in your MyDMV account.
-
Be prepared to pay a fee for your replacement driver’s license.
What to expect:
You should receive your new DL card in the mail within three to four weeks. If you have not received your DL card after 60 days, visit Driver’s License & ID Card Status.
Need your new DL card sooner? Replace your driver’s license at a DMV Kiosk. You must provide your full name, address on DMV records, birth date, and driver’s license number.
