Customers can visit El Centro office during the relocation process

Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles is alerting customers that the Brawley field office at 1175 E Main Street, will permanently close on Friday, November 12 at 5 p.m. The office is moving to a new location at 173 W Main Street, and is scheduled to open on Wednesday, December 1 at 9 a.m.

The DMV is opening a more modern office designed to better serve customers who have had to park across the street, causing safety concerns. The new location is larger and includes an updated heating and air conditioning system, better ventilation, and a larger onsite parking lot.

Customers can visit the nearest DMV field office in El Centro at 233 N Imperial Avenue during the relocation period.

Try Online First

The DMV encourages all customers to use its online services, expanded virtual services and other service channels to complete transactions, including eligible driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals.

Customers can also use the Service Advisor on the DMV website to learn their options to complete DMV tasks.
