Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting customers that the Santa Rosa field office at 2570 Corby Avenue will be closing for renovations beginning Friday, January 17, at noon. The office is scheduled to reopen Wednesday, April 1, at 9 a.m.
The improvements include replacing the floors, furniture and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
During the renovations, the DMV will open a temporary office at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds’ Garrett Hall, 1350 Bennett Valley Road. The office is scheduled to open Wednesday, January 22, at 9 a.m. and close Friday, March 27, at noon.
Customers also can visit the following nearby field offices during the renovations:
- Petaluma 715 Southpoint Blvd, Suite J, 13 miles
- Novato 936 7th Street, Suite A, 26 miles
- Napa 2550 Napa Valley Corporate Drive, 37 miles
- Corte Madera 75 Tamal Vista Blvd, 39 miles
The DMV reminds customers that many transactions can be completed without visiting a field office, including renewing a vehicle registration or driver license (not available when first applying for a REAL ID), ordering replacement vehicle registration cards and stickers, and changing an address.
