Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is adding two more offices to its current list of 60 statewide locations that offer Saturday service and opening two additional locations an hour earlier. The expanded services are being offered as part of the department’s continued effort to ease wait times at field offices.

The San Diego-Clairemont office begins offering Saturday hours on September 8 and Woodland starts on September 22.  They will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and provide all services, except behind-the-wheel exams.  The full list of field offices open on Saturdays can be found on the Saturday Service webpage.

The DMV is also opening its Redlands and Whittier offices one hour earlier beginning September 24, 2018.  Doors open at 7 a.m. four days a week, excluding Wednesday when they open at 9 a.m. This will bring the total number of field offices offering extended hours to 16.

Schedule an appointment up to 90 days in advance using the DMV’s website or calling 1-800-777-0133. The DMV reminds customers there is no charge to make an appointment to visit a DMV field office.
